The Manitos Community Memory Project hosts the third session in a monthly open symposium on what it means to build a community archive.

Join the NMAA for a gathering to discuss mega-drought and the climate crisis. Community leaders will share how they are responding through ancestral wisdom, collaboration, and fierce dedication toour communities.

This PART ONE event will include an overview of recent drought monitor and climate data and sessions on water sharing practices within and between acequias.

For this session, Amy Winter and Katie Gray, Head of Archives for New Mexico Highlands University’s Donnelly Library and Manitos Project Archival Consultant, will discuss best practices surrounding Permissions, Use Transparency and other issues of Digital Rights and Consent, in the context of the Manitos Archive.

Saturday, April 16 at the Bernalillo Community Museum from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, graphic designer Lily Padilla and illustrator/animator Natasha Vasquez will be presenting and leading a discussion about the Cuaderno Series.
